Answer the Call for This Year’s Phonathon

The COTS Phonathon is our oldest and one of our most important fundraisers. Each year, the week after Thanksgiving, staff and volunteers call past COTS supporters and ask them to consider a gift to COTS again this year. Your volunteer work, donations, and support for the Phonathon are vital to the services COTS provides.

The 2022 Phonathon will take place Monday, November 28 – Thursday, December 1. 

How it Works

Donating to the Phonathon can help maximize your gift to COTS. We have a generous Challenge Grant from New England Federal Credit Union (NEFCU) that will match 100% of new donations to this year’s Phonathon. It will also match gifts of past Phonathon donors who increase their gift from last year. So if you gave $50 last year and give $100 this year, $50 (the increase) will be matched. 

You do not have to donate during the week of the Phonathon for the challenge grant to apply. You can donate now and your donation will still be matched if it is a new or increased gift!

Interested in Volunteering?

We are searching for Volunteers to make phone calls Monday, November 28 – Thursday, December 1. You can volunteer for one, two, three, or four evenings from 5:30PM – 8PM. 

This year we will be holding a hybrid Phonathon event, so you can volunteer in-person or remotely! We will have one in-person volunteer day – Monday, November 28, but you can volunteer remotely for any or all of the days! For in-person volunteering, we will provide snacks and a fun, lively environment. Please note that all callers will use google sheets to view & gather information; we no longer use paper forms for the Phonathon. Additionally, both remote and in-person volunteers must be able to provide their own laptop. 

Do you have a group of friends or colleagues that you want to throw your own Phonathon calling party with? We encourage you to form your own remote gatherings of volunteer callers!
